Although there have been several committee meetings over the past couple of weeks, the March and April County Commission meetings were canceled due to the COVID-19 crisis.
The commission will meet on Monday, May 18, at 6 p.m. via electronic/telephone means.
Public access to the meeting
In order to listen, in the public is invited to call 1-646-558-8656 beginning at 5:50 p.m.
Pertinent information that will be needed to listen to the meeting includes the meeting I.D. Number, which is 910 3648 8538; and the password, which is 379 761.
This meeting will include all postponed/canceled resolutions and/or amendments from the March 23 and April 27 meetings as well as the current submitted resolutions and amendments for May.
Although the pubic is not allowed to attend the meeting in the Hawkins County Courthouse, the Times News has agreed to attend and live-stream the meeting on the Times News Facebook page.

A form is posted at the Hawkins County Clerk’s website for comments/statements or concerns about any resolution or amendment placed on the agenda for March, April or May.
This form should be filled out by any citizen wishing to address the commission. It can be submitted to the commissioner in your district, or placed in the drop box outside the Hawkins County Clerk’s Offices — either the Rogersville or Church Hill location.
Citizens’ comments can also be submitted via email to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed to Hawkins County Clerk, 110 East Main St., Room 204, Rogersville, TN 37857.
All submissions must be received by Monday at 9 a.m. to be read at the conference call meeting.
