Tony (Anthony) is celebrating his 80th birthday!
"Every year on his birthday he says
"I still don't feel old."
Tony was born March 8, 1938, to Liberato (Louis) and Carmel Bueno Perez, in Clearfield, Utah. He had one brother and six sisters. He grew up in Helper, Utah, and graduated from Carbon High School. After high school, he joined the Navy and while on leave at a dance, he met his future bride, Lucinda Vigil (from Dragerton, Utah).
They stayed in contact by letters and after serving four years in the Navy, he moved to Ogden where Lucinda was staying. They married on October 29, 1960, and started their family. He started working at Thiokol where he worked his whole career until retirement. He also retired from the Navy after serving many years in the reserves (including the Sea Bees).
Tony and Lucinda were blessed with four children: Juan and Rita (daughter) Orosco, Michael (son) and Robin Perez, Paula (daughter) Perez, and Gina (daughter) and Art Phillips; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He and Lucinda have traveled extensively throughout the world. Within the last five years he discovered extended family members in California, and Mexico, whom he has gotten to know and love which has made him happy and complete. He also learned how and why his dad emigrated to the U.S.A. which is an interesting story. Some of his hobbies are going to the movies, playing scrabble, puzzles, and dancing.
Happy Birthday Dad/Grandpa, We Love You!
