Roger Clair Shupe celebrated his 80th birthday on December 28, 2017, with family and friends surprising him at Lomond View Gardens in Pleasant View. He is the son to Charles D. and Anna Kelley, brother to 11 siblings, and was raised in Huntsville, Utah.
Roger has accomplished a lot in his life so far. He has served a two-year LDS mission in Australia, been president of the Lambda Delta Sigma at Weber State, taught school at Taylor Elementary for 30 years (he can even remember every child's name from the first class he taught!), he served five years at the Temple Square Mission with his wife, Lynette, he is a proud and amazing father to five children: Kevin, Colleen, Bryan, Julie, and Lei Anne, has 18 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, who all love him dearly.
Among all of these wonderful things, he says the highlight of his life so far has been marrying his sweet wife, Lynette, and spending the last 54 years of his life with her.
Roger enjoys playing golf with his friends, shooting hoops with his grandkids, watching all types of sports, fishing with his wife and kids, and telling his awesome stories to anyone who will lend a listening ear.
Roger is an amazing dad, grandpa, husband, and friend. Happy Birthday!!
