Hodges, an All-Southern Conference selection this past season, would be the team’s first defection after Steve Forbes left ETSU to take the head coaching job at Wake Forest. Jason Shay, a Forbes assistant, has taken over the program and was reportedly headed on a trip to visit his players over the weekend.
Nashville’s Hodges averaged 12.7 points a game and would have been the Bucs’ leading returning scorer. The 6-foot-5 guard topped the 1,000-point mark for his career during the Southern Conference tournament.
He’ll be entering his senior year in the fall.
